Preludes and Accolades for Toast of the Town’s 30th Anniversary

You know it’s Spring when St. David’s Foundation presents Preludes and Accolades, the first notice of the upcoming Toast of the Town parties that fund the Neal Kocurek/St. David’s Scholarships. This year will be all the more fun as it marks the 30th anniversary of the Toast parties. Chancellor Francisco and Graciela Cigarroa served as hosts for the evening in their usual graciously impeccable style. Even Mother Nature cooperated with a beautiful evening as guests gathered under the tents in the back yard. A very special treat this year was the presence of Chefs Kelly Casey (Hudson’s on the Bend), David Garrido (Garrido’s), Harvey Harris (Sienna Restaurant) and Tony Sansalone (Driskill Hotel). Rounding out the treats offered by the chefs was a buffet from Austin Catering.

Tabletop displays offered a preview of this year’s party offerings that guests clustered about throughout the evening. As always, picking which parties to attend is like picking one diamond out of a sack full. As they pondered their decisions, music by Ray Benson drew them to the band stage. It was all too much fun to leave, so the announced ending time came and went with folks still enjoying the evening.
