Preludes & Accolades gives Preview of Toast of the Town

Preludes & Accolades is always a highly anticipated event as it offers guests a first “peek” at the Toast of the Town parties. Guests arrived on time at the Bauer House and headed straight to the tabletop displays. With 20 parties planned, there is again something for everyone. The collection this year, however, has everyone wanting to go to every one of the parties! Picking a favorite is like picking one of 20 diamonds. Imagine–dinner with the Austin Symphony conductor Peter Bay or a private tour of the Lonesome Dove archives with Bill Wittliff; dinner by Elmar Prambs in Larry Peel’s wine cellar or barbeque and Ray Benson at Sunrise Ranch (Bevo’s home); talking baseball with Augie Garrido or global geopolitics with Bobby Ray Inman? Such are the decisions when the Toast of the Town invitation arrives. As always, do not delay in responding as the parties fill up in a hurry.

Even better than the parties is that the proceeds go to the Neal Kocurek/St. David’s Foundation scholarships. High school students from Travis, Williamson and Hays county who plan on attending a Texas school and major in a medical science degree are eligible for the scholarship which can last up to eight years!
