“Play Bingo” for Center for Child Protection

If the annual “Play Bingo Ladies Luncheon” gets any bigger, they’ll have to rent Memorial Stadium to accomodate the crowd. As it was, the event benefiting the Center for Child Protection filled the ballroom at the Hilton Austin with a wildly diverse crowd of professional bingo players. Attendees reach “pro” status by attending more than once–and this is a steadfast crowd. The champagne reception provided an opportunity to visit, compare costumes and browse the silent auction. Then it was time for lunch and full-contact bingo with Jim Spencer serving once again as emcee.
