Some “Help” for Hospice Austin

Posted at November 8, 2012 by Comments Off on Some “Help” for Hospice Austin

The annual “Beauty of Life” Luncheon benefiting Hospice Austin brought a full house to the Hilton Austin. While guests were certainly interested in browsing the treasures featured in the various boutiques and silent auction, the main focus was on the program. Featured keynote speaker Kathryn Stockett, author of “The Help,” surpassed all expectations with her remarks. Her humor and Southern passion resulted in continuous laughter and applause. It took her far longer to fulfill all the book signing requests than did her comments. Event Chairs Suzy Balagia and Amber Carden joined with emcee Evan Smith in thanking Stockett for making this luncheon one to remember.
