The 2012 Komen Austin “Race for the Cure” is off and running after their launch party recently. Heather White of KASE101 served as host for the gathering of committee members and volunteers. As you can imagine, this is quite an undertaking, so the work of the volunteers is essential. As a group, they raise crucial funds and public awareness of this disease that continues to attack all segments of our population.
The 2012 Austin Race for the Cure will be held Sunday, November 4 in downtown Austin. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, even in the event of inclement weather. The Race is a 5k (3.1 miles), we also offer a 1 mile family walk.
