Ultimat Vodka doesn’t need the final “e” as it is a blend of three distinct Polish vodkas produced from potatoes for richness and body, wheat for subtle smoothness, and rye for flavor complexity–resulting in crisp, smooth, elegance. The Ultimat maker himself, John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of Patron Spirits, and maker of Pyrat Rum and Patron Tequila, sent his better half, Eloise DeJoria, to team up with the King of Texas Swing, Ray Benson, for a casual evening of Ultimat spirits, sustenance by 34th Street Catering of Austin, and song. The evening also featured the singing debut of host Eddie Safady, who is entirely fortunate to have a job in the banking industry while awaiting stardom as a singer.

Robert Godwin
Robert Godwin has been covering the non-profit scene in Austin from the time of blue jeans and backyard barbeques to the black-tie galas of today. With over 20,000 events recorded by word and photo, Godwin leads the leagues in rubber chicken consumption. As a constant witness to the power of publicity, he now seeks to enlist a legion of assistants by sharing his knowledge of the publicity process.
