Dell Children’s Gala 2012 “The Art of Healing”

Posted at January 30, 2012 by 1 Comment

It wasn’t by chance that the 2012 Dell Children’s Gala “The Art of Healing” was a picture-perfect benefit for the hospital. Rather, it was the result of a year of hard work by the committee led by Gala Chairs Kay and Eric Moreland. Guests arrived at the Austin Convention Center to find a visual feast created by Victoria Hentrich and crew with particularly glorious contributions by David Kurio florals and image projections by Bart Kresa. Helping it all come together was Big House Sound, ILIOS Lighting, Marquee Events and Townsley Designs.

Vital to the success of the evening were all the volunteers, the children selling raffle tickets, auctioneer Gayle Stallings, amazing donations by local businesses and private citizens, sponsors by the dozens and tons of work by the hospital’s development staff.

By evening’s end, guests had enjoyed a cocktail reception, seated dinner, live auction, music by The Sauce, casino action—and for the truly committed, an after-party at the Four Seasons’ Trio. Biggest winners of the night were all the children of Central Texas as proceeds will continue the mission of the hospital in providing the best possible healthcare.
