Dancing with the Stars Austin
Dancing with the Stars Austin is an annual benefit gala for the Center for Child Protection. Chaired this year by Charmaine Denius McGill and Dr. John Hogg, the gala filled the Hilton Austin ballroom with both people and excitement. That excitement translated to the live auction with fast and furious bids. Special kudos to Charles Duggan, Mary and Rusty Tally and Twin Liquors for doubling their auction donation–bidding was such that they added a second week at Duggan’s Tuscan villa for eager bidders. Emcee/Dance Director Sabrina Barker-Truscott introduced the dancers: Patsy Woods Martin; The Honorable Samuel T. Biscoe; Jackie Rado Mooney; Ryan Nail; Kumara Wilcoxon; George T. Elliman; Lynn Yeldell and Vaughn Brock. Each was paired with a professional dancer—with fabulous results. Vaughn Brock emerged as the winner of the coveted disco ball trophy—but the children at the Center are the ultimate winners.
