Play Bingo benefits Center for Child Protection

Posted at November 9, 2011 by Comments Off on Play Bingo benefits Center for Child Protection

The 8th Annual Play Bingo Ladies Luncheon hosted by the Friends of Christopher Guild as a benefit for the Center for Child Protection filled the house again at the Hilton Austin. Tiaras and boas were the accessories of the day as the various tables readied for the contact sport known as benefit bingo. Emcees Jim Spencer and Holly Mills-Gardner brought the crowd to some semblance of order before yielding the podium to Executive Director Sandra Martin with words of welcome. The games began with resulting cheers and groans as cards filled–and prizes were presented. The incredible kindness of merchants across Austin provided a wealth of prizes. Proceeds are vital in continuing the mission of the Center in helping abused and neglected children.
